DENTAL CROWNS
A crown is a protective covering around the damaged portion of a tooth and it’s used to help protect the damaged tooth from further decay. Crowns are made of various materials, including resin, ceramic metal or a mix of metal and porcelain. Crowns are also known as caps.
Once the tooth shaped crown is fitted over your teeth, our dentist will cement the crown. After which, your tooth will look as good as new!

Is it necessary to get a Crown or a Bridge?
It totally depends on the condition of your teeth. When you come to Dentistry On Ellesmere, we will conduct a thorough examination of your teeth and evaluate your dental health to see what kind of treatment is best for you. Sometimes, a broken tooth can also be fixed with Veneers.
How many appointments does it take to have a Crown or Bridge?
A crown or bridge will require you to come in twice to our dental office. The first time, you will be fitted with a temporary crown, and our Dentist will take measurements and prepare the teeth. The next time you come in you the crown or bridge will be cemented in permanently.
Does it hurt?
The procedure is painless and completed very quickly. Like fillings crowns and bridges require some freezing and then the rest is easy.
